Western Welcomes Bobbi Jo Ulrich as the New Head Volleyball Coach

Western Technical College is proud to announce the hiring of Bobbi Jo Ulrich as the college’s new Head Volleyball Coach, bringing nearly two decades of coaching experience and a proven commitment to athlete development to the Cavaliers program.

Ulrich joins Western with an extensive background in both high school and club volleyball, as well as a strong reputation for building competitive, culture-driven programs. She currently serves as co-owner and Director of Elevate Volleyball Club, where she has played a key role in developing high-level athletes and guiding teams to compete against top programs at the national level.

Ulrich’s coaching journey began in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where she worked with park and recreation athletes before advancing into high school and club volleyball. She has coached club volleyball since 2017 and currently serves as a Master Coach and Nationals Head Coach at Elevate Volleyball Club, leading athletes through elite-level competition across the country.

At the high school level, Ulrich has led programs with energy and purpose, serving as Head Coach at Tomah High School from 2022 to 2024, and continuing her leadership as Head Coach at New Lisbon High School. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes accountability, fearless competition, and developing athletes who are confident both on and off the court.

Known for her hands-on approach and ability to connect with players, Ulrich is deeply committed to developing not only strong volleyball athletes, but resilient, confident young women prepared for success beyond athletics.

As she takes the helm of the Cavaliers volleyball program, Ulrich is focused on building a culture of growth, competitiveness, and pride.
