Bio

Josh Knoll has served as the head coach of Western University’s baseball team since 2016, bringing a strong vision for growth and development to the program. Under his leadership, the team has seen a remarkable transformation, expanding its roster from just 12 players to 35 within four years—a testament to his strategic recruitment efforts and commitment to building a competitive and cohesive team.

Before taking the helm at Western, Knoll gained valuable experience as a graduate assistant at York College in 2015. He also served as Western’s pitching coach and recruiting coordinator from 2015 to 2016, laying the groundwork for his future success as head coach.

A native of Sparta, Wisconsin, Knoll holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management with a minor in Business. Off the field, he enjoys spending time outdoors on the Mississippi River with his wife, Libby, their dog Wrigley, and close friends and family. A proud Cubs fan, Knoll brings the same passion and energy to the diamond as he does to his personal life.
