Leadership Transition in Esports

Western Technical College announces a heartfelt farewell to Cody Murphy, who is stepping down as Head Esports Coach. Cody has been instrumental in building the college’s esports program from the ground up, fostering a culture of teamwork, resilience, and competitive excellence. Under his leadership, Western’s teams have grown in skill and spirit, earning respect across the collegiate esports community.

 We’re excited to welcome Taya Pederson as the new Head Esports Coach. Taya, a former Cavalier Esport Student-Athletes brings fresh energy, strategic insight, and a deep passion for student development. Her vision will continue to elevate the program and build on the strong foundation Cody leaves behind.
